SEO & Content Specialist
Own SEO delivery across our client portfolio and write content that ranks. A hands-on role: audits, keyword research, on-page optimisation, articles and reporting across 60+ clients.
About the role
SEO is a core service we sell, and this role exists to deliver it at a consistently high standard. You’ll own the technical execution, the content and the results. You’ll work closely with our Head of Client Services and Projects, who manages the client relationships, and our developers, who handle website builds and technical changes.
This is a hands-on delivery role. You won’t be managing people or sitting in meetings all day. You’ll be doing the work: running audits, researching keywords, optimising pages, writing articles and tracking results. If you love the craft of SEO and take pride in writing content that actually ranks, this role is for you.
Tools you’ll use: SE Ranking, Google Search Console, GA4, WordPress, Rank Math, SiteGuru, Looker Studio, ClickUp and Google Workspace. You don’t need all of them on day one, but you should pick up new tools quickly.
What you'll do
- Own the SEO strategy and execution for multiple client accounts at once.
- Run monthly technical SEO audits, then fix the issues or brief the dev team to fix them.
- Do keyword research to guide content, on-page optimisation and campaign planning.
- Handle on-page SEO: meta titles, descriptions, headings, internal linking, alt text and schema markup.
- Build and manage keyword rank tracking across all SEO clients.
- Run competitor analysis and develop backlink strategies where relevant.
- Monitor Google algorithm updates and adjust strategies when needed.
- Write SEO-optimised blog articles (with AI) for multiple clients each month, from brief to final draft.
- Publish and format content in WordPress with correct on-page SEO.
- Plan and manage a content calendar across SEO clients.
- Set up and optimise Google Business Profiles, citations and local listings where local SEO is in scope.
- Compile monthly performance reports, and explain what the numbers mean, not just pull the data.
- Flag underperforming or at-risk accounts early, with a recommended action plan.
- Brief developers on technical fixes and coordinate with the Google Ads team where SEO and paid search overlap.
What we're looking for

- Quality-driven and detail-oriented: you take pride in the work and don’t cut corners.
- 1 to 3 years hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred, not required).
- A solid grasp of technical SEO, on-page optimisation and content-driven strategy.
- Proven ability to write clear, engaging, grammatically correct UK English.
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Comfortable publishing and optimising content in WordPress.
- Able to manage your own workload across multiple clients without close supervision.

- Experience in or with digital marketing agencies.
